Saturday, 10 am to noon, Service Project
Hope Mountain Church, 11215 Hwy 22, Calera, AL 35040. Reach back out if you want to carpool! We will assist the Grace Klein Community in their ongoing fight against food insecurity. Saturday, 4-6 pm. Pool Party at the Lowerys’ house!
Bring your towel and an appetite because they are putting out eats! Contact Danny Jones for location information.

We meet at the church. Be there or wonder later what people are talking about. This is a highlight.

Monday, 6-8 pm. Vestavia Bowl!
Be ready for alley-slinging, gutter-rolling, ugly shoe-wearing fun. The bowling is on us, but any food (before, during, or after) is on you.

It’s going to be good!   Bring a friend!

Home Runs and Strike Outs: Finding Strength and Resiliency in Faith and Baseball

Home Runs and Strike Outs: Finding Strength and Resiliency in Faith and Baseball

Come join us at Highlands United Methodist Church for an inspiring event that combines the love of baseball with the power of faith. We welcome Coach Jan Weisberg to Highlands as he reflects on the amazing last season of baseball at Birmingham-Southern College and the lessons that we can take away from both our faith and America’s favorite pastime.

Jan Weisberg served as the 11th Head Coach of the BSC baseball team, leading the school’s last team to the College World Series in a story that captured not only the heart of those on the Hilltop, but Birmingham, the state, and the nation as well.

This event is free and open to the public but advance tickets are required.

Youth Mission Trip Stock Sale

  • Highlands United Methodist Church (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Your purchase of a share or shares of stock is an investment in the Highlands United Methodist Youth Mission Trip.  It is an investment in the lives of our young people. It is an investment that allows our young people to experience an intentional, guided opportunity to be the loving presence of God. It is an investment that allows the heartbeat of Highlands UMC to be heard and felt in rural Tennessee by low-income residents who are happy to have a helping hand.

Purchasing shares in this trip represents an investment in transformation – in our young people, in a low-income Tennessee county, in the future of Highlands UMC. It will allow our young people to have a never-to-be forgotten experience in serving God by serving others.

As a shareholder, you will receive updates from the trip, photos, and correspondence updating you on what your investment has allowed to happen. The biggest payoff, what your investment does for the spiritual development of our church’s young people, may take years to be fully realized.

Thank you for considering this investment worthwhile.
