Acolyte Training and Lock-In - August 26-27
After a short summer break, it is time for our acolytes to return to worship. All acolyte parents, currently trained acolytes, and new acolytes (4th grade through adults) will gather on Saturday, August 26 at 4:30 pm for our fall Acolyte Training and Lock-In. Parents will meet to learn about scheduling, sign ups, and other best practices while children and youth will be fitted for robes for the coming academic year. Following the meeting, parents are free to leave. Acolytes will then have dinner, training, practice, and fellowship until lights out at 9 pm. Anyone who does not wish to stay overnight may be picked up at this time. On Sunday morning, acolytes will have breakfast at the Original Pancake House.
It is very important that everyone who plans to acolyte this school year attend this training event if possible. RSVP by Sunday, August 20 to Acolyte Coordinator Dylan Higgs at dchiggs1999@gmail.com.
