Just 90 miles south of Highlands in Montgomery is the site of one of our nation’s most important and moving experiences providing sacred space for truth-telling and reflection about racial terror through lychings by white mobs in the United Stated between 1877 and 1950. We will make a short stop at the White House of the Confederacy, State Capitol, and Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church for context before visiting and experiencing the National Memorial for Peace and Justice, and then visit the incredible Legacy Museum followed by lunch at the Museum. Reservations are required.
To make reservation, please email Reggie at Reggie@highlandsumc.net or give him a call at 205-933-8751 ext. 213.
Admission is $10 plus lunch on your own.
Another pilgrimage trip will be offered on Thursday, March 30
