The Highlands church family is both close-knit and inviting, and we love to spend time together. Fellowship opportunities happen regularly and are open to everyone. We can’t wait to welcome you!

Third Sunday Potlucks

Each month on the third Sunday, we gather after worship for a potluck fellowship meal. Bring a dish and join us for delicious food and warm hospitality. These meals are a great time to visit Highlands or to invite a friend to join you a church!

Special Seasonal Events

We love to party and celebrate holidays together! Our Easter Egg Hunt, Summer Kick-Offs, and Halloween Carnival are some of our favorite times together.

Church Retreat

Start the year off right! Each January, our church family gathers at Camp Sumatanga for a family retreat. This low-key, relaxing overnight is a great way to unwind and reconnect after a busy holiday season.

Parades and Community Events

Highlands is proud to participate in the Five Points South St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Central Alabama Pride Parade.
